comments: The farm is managed by Melissa Barker, the Farm Manager and the day to day work is completed by students enrolled in the Practice of Sustainable Agriculture program. In 2007 The Organic Farm began growing crops specifically for sale to Dining Services.
The Organic Farm is also home to the campus Compost Program which handles much of the organic waste on campus and the Bio-Diesel Program which utilizes waste vegetable oil from dining services to make enough bio-diesel to run the farm tractors year-round.
comments: Programs at Evergreen are taught in a integrated, collaborative learning model in which students can enroll in a full time program that is 16 credits and covers a broad range of disciplines as related to the program topic to give students a holistic understanding of their given interests.
