Needs and challenges:
We need more local foods, in Vermont we have access to so many local farms especially for any dairy product, syrup, apples, etc. It all exists very close but we can't get it into our schools.
Successes and achievements:
We just went trayless, but no success on getting better foods in our cafeteria. We are hosting a local foods competion in two weeks which will be linking up to the Winter Farmers' Market in Burlington, VT.

Student run programs: Green Up SMC and Student Trade Justice Campaign; both are looking to get more local foods on our campus.
